MATERIALS:
Size 17 needles
2 balls of yarn with similar weights (at least 4-ply weight) in coordinating colors, but maybe different textures, consisting of:
Yarn A: 195 feet (65 yards)
Yarn B: 150 feet (50 yards)
2 25-foot balls of fun fur or other novelty yarn
DIRECTIONS:
Holding Yarn A and one ball of novelty yarn together, cast on 10 stitches or few enough stitches to make a scarf at least 4-inches wide but not wider than 4.5-inches. Knit until you use up the novelty yarn, stopping at the end of a row (not in the middle). Do not cut Yarn A. Move Yarn A to the back.
Attach Yarn B. Knit 2 rows. Do not cut. Move Yarn B to the back.
Knit 2 rows with Yarn A. Move Yarn A to the back.
Knit 2 rows with Yarn B.
Continue in the same manner until the scarf measures about 56-inches. Cut Yarn B.
Pick up Yarn A. Attach the second ball of novelty yarn. Continue knitting every row with the Yarn A and novelty yarn combination until you are ready to cast off.
Cast off. Weave in ends.
Please sign your first name on the Handmade tag and use a piece of scrap yarn to attach it to your scarf.
