KNIT OR CROCHET SCARVES:
♥ Make from kits or on your own following the directions listed on
the website.
PUT TOGETHER SCARF KITS
♥ Meet at warehouse in Torrance (directions to be provided if you’re
interested) on Mondays, 9am to 1pm. Tasks include measuring yarn,
choosing yarns for kits, preparing scarf kits, bagging kits.
With enough interest, we’d like to put together another team to meet on Tuesday mornings.
WRAP SCARVES:
♥ Usually meet twice a month at Leslye Borden’s house on Thursday’s
10am-2pm. Tasks include inspecting scarves for completeness,
rolling them up and tying a colorful ribbon around them. Tasks
may also include mending scarves, adding ID tags or adding fringe.
PACK SCARVES AND SEND/MAIL TO SHELTERS:
♥ Usually occurs once a month, at the same time we’re wrapping
scarves at Leslye’s house; however, may occur on a Thursday
following a scarf wrapping session. Tasks include packing the
boxes for the shelters and completing the mailing information
if applicable.
MAKE SCARF ID TAGS:
♥ The ID tags, attached to each scarf, need to be printed, cut and hole
punched.
HELP WITH ADMINISTRATION TASKS:
♥ Maintain spreadsheets, volunteer lists and miscellaneous duties such
as filing and sorting correspondences.
